Online advertising is growing rapidly in Australia as at 12 months ended June 30, 2007, the advertising industry spent $1,199 million online - a rise of 54% from the previous year. Online's national share of advertising is now close to 9% and now exceeds magazines and has eclipsed radio's national share. This huge and fast growth in online advertising signals that clients are now, more than ever, confident that investing their dollars online will deliver the results they need.
Broadband adoption is crucial to online's success and nearly 8.5 million of Australians using the internet at home use broadband. In South East Queensland, 75% of connections to internet are broadband. Across Queensland, 2.4 million people accessed the internet in the last 4 weeks, of whom 751,000 accessed the web primarily for news. In South East Queensland, regular internet use has grown from 28% of people aged 14+ in 2002 to 72% in 2007.

Beenleigh Online Advertising Rates-
 Gold Ad positions are displayed at all times on the website, regardless of the menu selection. The rates for gold positions are as follows:
Page Peel Position - $40 per week
Head Scroll Position - $25 per week
Page Top Position - $25 per week
Page Bottom Position - $20 per week
 Silver Ad positions are displayed on all main menu (the one just below the site name) pages, with the right side positions also being displayed on the home page. The rates for silver positions are as follows:
Right Side Position - $15 per week per 180X80px block. These blocks can be added together to provide larger vertical ads if needed, a 10% discount per block applies to larger ads, ie 240px high block is $40.
Left Side Position - $10 per week per 200X80px block, same discount scheme for larger ads applies as above.
 Bronze Ad positions are displayed at the top of all pages in each category (Business Directory, Sports, Beenleigh Buzz & Community) The rates for bronze positions is $10 per week
Ads must be booked for a minimum of 2 months, if a booking of 3 months is made a discount of 5% applies, for 6 months a 10% discount and for a 12 months a 15% discount. Prices for all advertising includes artwork preparation of the initial ad, subsequent requested changes are charged as extra.
Business Directory
Business Directory listings as standard are free but can be upgraded to a "Priority Listing" for $6 per week which includes-
1. Highlighted address and phone number and a box display, as sample below.
2. Short description of goods and services.
3. Addition of Email and Website links and your company logo displayed.
4. Map link displaying your address.
5. Display at the top of the list in your category (allocated on a first come, first served basis).
6. Standard directory listing in one additional category of your choice.
